Metacritic Strikes Again

Gamecyte reports:

''Back in March, we decried the way percentile ranking sites like Metacritic have permeated gaming culture, explained that we might be better off reading review text rather than paying attention to a suspicious scoring system, and suggested that gamers "just leave Metacritic to the suits" who use such digits to appeal to investors. But the Cult of Metacritic has grown in power since March, and is now threatening to influence our games from behind the scenes.''

Metacritic and the overall compiling score at n4g is the only reliable source. They are crazy to think this is bad. Avages don't lie, thats why I love metacritic.

Now reviews are still reviews and still subjected to gamers criticisms, if a certain game is not perfect or praise, for (whatever reasons.)

Whining and desperate logic sets in..

Still these reasons are just opinions like everyone elses.

I appreciate this way of doing business. I may even buy Lies of P now because of it. Where your money goes it's literally the only leverage we have as consumers to make a difference in an industry we all have an opinion about. Withholding it or spending it in the right places is about all we can do.

This is fire. Just like the game. I haven't gotten the dlc yet, but im really thinking about it. I just thought it ended great, I really want to see what they do with Dorothy. Will you fight the Tinman, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, the Wicked Witch and Wizard of Oz? Maybe Toto's with us, that'd be fire.
