Report – Battlefield Hardline GameStop Pre-Order Bonus Is a Real Life Police Badge

MP1st - Looks like Battlefield fans making the trip to their local GameStop to pre-order Visceral Games’ upcoming Fall shooter get a free pass to enlist in their local law enforcement division.

Well, not quite. But if you pre-order Battlefield Hardline, you do get this nifty looking police badge replica.

Rickgrimes954017d ago

Is that safe? I don't really want people running around with fake police badges

LAWSON724017d ago (Edited 4017d ago )

Last time I checked police badges were not smaller than a thumb

Eldyraen4017d ago

True, but just takes that one idiot/easily fooled person to make it become news.

AgentSmithPS44017d ago

I'm sure someone will put it next to their penis to impress women in cam-chat.

Eldyraen4017d ago (Edited 4017d ago )

That's what I was thinking--just another reason for the media to pounce on anti-gaming bandwagon once someone uses it in a negative way.

I don't really see it as a big deal as people have used even cheaper fake badges to do the same stuff or just flat out bluffed their way saying they were a cop but stupidity reigns supreme so it won't necessarily help matters much either.

It is a cool replica though.

vallencer4017d ago

It's just a money clip.

vallencer4017d ago

It's a money clip in the firm of a badge. Headline is just for clicks.

ezop4017d ago

its quite safe .. it looks like an american police badge, they have legal citizens running around with guns & wonder why people go on rampages, so a fake tiny badge is the least of there problems.

CaptnMorgan4017d ago

Its like a Bad Comedy skit. Want to Preorder BF: Hardline? Have a laugh with me then

AgentSmithPS44017d ago

Once I get that badge I'll be able to bring EA/DICE to justice for what they did to BF4!

And with that a new branch of interwebs police was born....

Traumahawk12254017d ago

I don't see it as a safety hazard, hell kids get to have their own police badges and toy guns. Plus like lawson72 said it does look quite small.

This was one of my harder platinums to get, mainly because the game was the beginning of the Battlefield decline, this game was horrible.

Yi-Long214d ago

DLC for shooters generally splits the player-base between ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’, and it often means that servers became less populated and as a result, many dropped the game completely once that happened …

myDorazio214d ago

Yeah, kind of ironic isn't it. If they had released it a year later with the DLC part of the base experience, it would have gotten a bigger audience.

Hardline at least tried to mix things up for the first time in a while. This was pretty much the nail in the coffin for Visceral though.

MDTunkown220d ago

The map were to small for a lot of ideas, riding around two streets was stupid

Cacabunga219d ago

Yet another great decision made by EA. They really know what they’re doing

just_looken220d ago (Edited 220d ago )

The vip mode was a great idea but the whole game had that need more time in the oven feeling. My only big issue with hardline as a whole was the smgs.

But vip plus c4 classic

GAMERJET220d ago

Hardline was my favorite Battlefield.

Demetrius220d ago

Hardline was fun af, nice size areas to get around in. Got a good 10 hours out of it because I took my time much as I can. Sucha good story and atmosphere

RavenWolfx220d ago

I didn't even know this was something that had been requested. A new Bad Company, oh hell yeah. Hardline? Not so much.

HyperMoused220d ago

Hardline was great for what it was and it had the best MP mode with the moving hardpoints, if you havnt played it the hard points to capture were vehicles, with points earned for how long you are in one, so its this huge mash up of ground warfare and taking out vehicles and getting in one and tearing ass trying not to get blown up...was awesome.
