The Stomping Land by SuperCrit is, put simply, another in a long line of games that involve crafting and a combo of player versus player and player vs AI options, along with a survival theme. What sets it apart, however, is its tribal theme with the AI being dinosaurs. Yes, you read correctly. In The Stomping Land, you have to not only look out for other players but for dinosaurs. How is that for challenge?
GG3 writes: "Developer Studio Wildcard stated that Ark: Survival Evolved would pay tribute to people who bought The Stomping Land on Steam, after its Early Access program sort of fizzled. With a huge community currently active in the latest dinosaur survival game, sunglasses on Tyrannosaurus Rex creatures have started to appear."
Last month The Stomping Land made news as it came out that the last developer working on the troubled MMO had officially decided to end his time working with Supercrit after a long period of silence from the head developer Alex “Jig” Fundora. That last man standing was Vlad Konstantinov, a freelance character artist from Russia who specializes in dinosaurs.
Caraline Nelson writes: "After receiving over $100,000 in funding Alex Fundora has left supporters with maybe half a game at best. The studios leader abandoned his seemingly talented workforce without proper pay and they have therefore, rightly, stepped away from the project to find other work. His lack of communication and complete disappearance was crippling."
