It's not everyday that developers have the chance to revisit a project they previously worked on and created, but Deep Silver is giving 4A Games that opportunity with Metro Redux. Deep Silver Global Brand Manager Huw Beynon talked about what it means to be able to revisit both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light.
The world is in such shock right now, as Russia has made multiple advances on Ukraine since February 24th, 2022. Some Switch players may want to help in some way. Well, Jason Capp is here with some Ukrainian made games you can buy to show your support!

its good the same team that mad these games are doing this next gen ports just like ND are doing with TLOU. This way we maybe see some huge improvements
out sourcing means same games just with better graphics
can either developer go back and make AI better? i know in documentary ND said that it was hard to get Enemy AI to where they wanted to because of limited ram. So now they have so much more, can they go back? or will they have to do everything again if they want to improve AI?
Looking forward to picking this up on my PS4 or XB1. I missed out on it last gen. After watching gameplay it looks so good, I love FPS that are dedicated to having a great story like Halo, Wolfenstein The New Order, or Farcry 3. And the next gem visuals actually look night and day from last gen. Two awesome games for 50 bucks, you can't beat that.
I am all for this release.
These games are brilliant and gorgeous, but it seems like they were overlooked so releasing on next gen while they have small libraries is a great idea. Hope they get the recognizition they deserve
Interested in picking this up, got frame rate sickness really bad with the last gen version.
Since I have them both on PC already (dlc too) the odds of buying them again is extremely low unless the overhaul they receive is worth it. I'm more likely to pick up 2033 standalone instead as rumor is the update they are doing with it is more substantial and if gunplay is tighter (2033 was bit clunky combat wise especially) it may be worth it to me simply as it is cheaper alternative while still showing tangible support for the work they are doing.
I plan on renting Redux though first chance I get no matter what as they are definitely worth another playthrough no matter what. If I didn't own them both Redux would be a must buy but for now low possibility or just a partial sale ATM.
I look forward to their next product though as it will be preordered day it is announced--devs have my trust already which is really saying something for being so new. CD Project Red is definitely another company that has left a huge impression in a short time (2 games were enough to create huge buzz for W3/Cyberpunk that cast many bigger companies' games in to the shadows). The anticipation level for their fans run to extremes more on par for huge and much older franchises--W2 and LL for example were 2 of my biggest games once announced, both after a single release for the companies, and even have higher hopes for next ones (tough to live up to though).
