At the start of the game, Tex wakes up from being attacked, with no recollection of the past seven years of his life. Since you're a detective, you spend the duration of the game trying to piece together why you were attacked, along with trying to figure out what happened to your memory.

I'm so happy this genre is seeing resurgence, my best gaming experiences have come from point click adventures, Monkey Islands, Goblins, Beneath a Steel Sky, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Fate of Atlantis, etc….. I loved playing through Grim Fandango again and we also have the remaster of Day of the Tentacle to look forward to.

Judging from the titles this article lists it seems I have some catching up to do as I've only played Broken Sword 5 and Broken Age.
