IGN – Cold in July feels like three different movies in one, but here’s the strange part: it absolutely works. Part suspense-thriller, part noir, and part revenge-action, Cold in July manages to achieve what few films can by shaping one narrative full of twists and turns into a subversive genre flick that is as hardboiled as it is well-constructed.
