E3 History: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (With Videos)

CraveOnline: "Since 1995 E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) has remained the premier stage for gaming announcements and demonstrations. While most of the time it's a place where publishers and manufacturers converge to show what's next for gaming, poor preparation sometimes leads to downright embarrassing moments. Given its 19 years of history, there are many moments to remember, some better than others.

We've decided to look back at these moments to recall why E3 can be exciting, funny, and oh so disappointing all at the same time."

Excited for this year's events!

Here's hoping to great announcements and some funny moments.

It was always my dream to go to E3 as a kid, finally being able to realize that dream was great, and looking back on all these years is a great stroll down memory lane.

I'd put Final Fantasy XIII coming to Xbox 360 as bad, that was the worst thing that happened to that game. They had to cut so much stuff out just to put it on the 360 and it ended up hindering the actual product.

As a Final Fantasy fan I agree with you. But this is talking about big announcements. Sega getting smoked by PlayStation at E3 1995 wasn't good for Sega or the industry, really.

The point is that Microsoft made some good moves to get big publishers to support their product.

Shouldn't be allowed in any field.

And yet the biggest tech companies in America are essentially that. They buy up all the small comps only to kill them off and steal what they have, and if they can't buy em they bleed them to death.

BG3 has won everything possible. It's insane.

TGG_overlord4d ago

That's right, well, BG3 deserved it imo.

anast4d ago

It's definitely a game of the generation if not all time.
