Wow the game looks great. The differences on either system is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY minor, however the XB1 version actually looks sharper in most cases that there is a difference...like the nurses' face in the beginning, the skin on his hand holding the knife, the details on some of the guns. Again IT'S SUPER SUPER SUPER minor, and really doesn't mean anything, it's ONLY noteworthy because it appears to be the first multi-plat where the XB1 version actually has the edge. I know many are going to pretend they don't see it, or blame the video (it's the same video), or say that I'm simply being a fanboy troll...not the case, I still think resolution arguments as a whole are overrated and there is nothing here to change your mind about whichever console you get it on...it looks GREAT on both...again it's only noteworthy because it's the first multi-plat to go the other way.

It could just be something to do with the video capture, and this isn't set in stone, and it's only based on this one video...

Please watch the video before you just hit disagree...

PS4 has shown better anti-aliasing in most cases.
And @ 2:14 muzzle flash lighting reflecting off surfaces on PS4.

You gotta be sh!ttin me. Take off your fanboy glasses. They look identical except XO has better contrast in few scenes, nothing major. ALIASING IS EXACTLY THE SAME, pretty easy to count aliased lines on same elements as edge of a gun or a crack in the wall that light goes through. No difference there. Great job devteam!

I agree with you. Almost 100 % identical. But in addition to the thing you mentioned, If you look at the last shot where it shows the close-up on the crosshair dot, the ps4 one is more aliased, and less sharp.
Most of the pictures and items in the world also had a 1-2% sharper portrayal on the xb1 version.

I sometimes wonder if it's been harder to get games to run 1080p on XB1 because it ACTUALLY does a more true representation of 1080p, and maybe the PS4 blurs or artificially sharpens with a filter to attain 1080p.

I'm probably wrong, but it seems like 1080p is the pixel count but the techniques used to get that many pixels on screen/at a certain framerate require a different amount of actual power to get there.

Like I said I'm probably wrong, but it would be interesting to see if there's any merit to that idea.

And there was also more pixel crawl around objects when standing still on PS4.
But I don't even really care, I think with the game looking so identical that there is no reason to even give a shit about the 1-2 % difference. Or the 5% difference on most multiplats where PS4 looks better.

I did notice that in the planes machine gun turret scene that the muzzle flash was realistically reflecting off of objects in the PS4 version but not at all in the X1 version. It's easily noticeable.

If you want to see how this game REALLY looks in HD, instead of these stupid GIF and half ass pics, just go watch the full review of W:NO game on IGN, it's the PS4 version they are showing, make sure you blow up the screen to full, this is how the PS4 version really looks.

Just bought it myself... bit bummed cos i have a hospital appointment before I can get home to play it :/ This game looks like it knows what it is; no pretence of GOTY storytelling, no shoehorning in of multiplayer. Exactly what this industry needs IMHO. Can't wait to get home and fire up the PS4.

Both games look the same you can't tell any differences between the 2. Glad to see that both version are native 1080p 60 FPS. Hopefully later down the line xbox one will have more native 1080p games consistently.

Holy christ just stop with these comparisons. People get angry over tiny details you'd never notice in a million years if you didn't have them side by side. And no matter how the games look, Ps4 fanboys will say theirs is better, and vice versa. This is just a means to get hits and stir up bullshit.

Stronger contrast does not equal "better" contrast.

The PS4 version will look better on your TV since it preserves more details in shaded areas and your TV will already add contrast.

Also @2:12 PS4 also has better lighting from the muzzle flash bouncing off surfaces.

They're basically the same, if you're the nit picky type... each console tends to have their own "characteristics", at least when it comes to multi-plats, The blacks are blacker and the whites are whiter on Xbox, PS4's are not. blah blah blah... same as BF4 basically.

Here's the truth... Xbox guys will think the xbox version looks slightly better & PS guys will think the PS version looks slightly better. There you go, enjoy the game.

This only shows what the developer wants to show.. Some devs show that if you actually put some effort on it, you can have a big difference, others try to be the nice guy and make both look the same without much effort.. Here it seems we got the second type of developer..
Graphics are not impressive at all, thats why u get 1080p 60fps, and thats why both look the same.
Its a good game? I cant tell, i havent played it yet, but its clear that wasnt pushed to the limits on graphics deparment, thats why both look the same.

AHH yes the old Hasty Generalization fallacy.....

Because a few games do not have a disparity we get to generalize that a factual numerical difference on paper for the specs of these machines are invalid.

Lets ignore watch dogs which looks twice as good as this....is running better on ps4 and not to mention the other plentiful examples of other disparity cases.

Developers on consoles are NOT going to go over 1080p 60fps because its not practical...Even if the ps4 could manage to do more (which it most likely can (examples being COD ghosts getting stuttering from the frame rate EXCEEDING 60 fps) the developers wouldn't because it would cause issues with people who do not have over a 1080p screen...it would have aspect ratio issues and stuttering.

Face it. This gen 1080p 60 fps is a MAXED game.

When the game is to graphically intensive...youll see the disparity.

When its a bit lower end (like this game) we'll see some parity. Until then here are some examples of games running better vs games running worse

Theif (graphically intensive runs better on ps4 1080p vs 900p)
battlefield 4 (900p vs 720p also graphically intensive)
Assassins creed 4 (1080p vs 720p graphically intensive)
Watch dogs (900p vs 792p graphically intensive)

I think cod looks better and has more physics involved, that's why the xone couldn't handle it as well,,,but this is a dif game, theres not much going on in graphics/physics in wolf,it was easier to make,and the devs chose parity. easy to see

other games that take more horse power really show the difference, look at watch dogs,theres a big difference in res/sharpness thats in favor of the ps4 because the xone didn't have the horse power to make that type of game and bring up the res to 900p

wolf is a simple game that the devs chose to make the same/parity... theres a number of multiplat games that are in favor of the ps4,why wouldn't this one be any dif unless the devs choose to,and they did here,that happens

does anybody know if the engine is the same one from the other Wolfenstein game that came out last gen? It looks like it to me wonder if that's why this game looks like this and not truly next gen, but but also to run at 1080/60 got to make sacrifices on the graphics department also.

There appears to be a better illusion of depth on the PS4 version, maybe the contrast is better with more natural shading/color so scenes look less flat or fake.

guys, I agree there is a very slight variation in the graphics of this game in each console. although slight, its apparent in several things from sharpness to better color contrast.
the xbox one has the clear advantage.
i think the sony fanboys are just caught up on the fact that ps4 has 50% more gpu cores and so it must always be superior. lol. this one time xbox did a tiny bit better graphically. but ya fanboys, xb1 can do things ps4 only dreams about (DeadRising3,Forza,Titanfall,t urtlebeach HD audio from controller). you guys only have the better graphics (some of the time now, not always).

Just like I was playing toy story like graphics on my ps2 because Sony said it could do toy story graphics. The videos they showed of ps3 games which ended up being pre rendered and actually ended up looking better on xbox 360 when the ps3 was apparently 100% more capable. You'd think people would have learned to take Sony's comments with a pinch of salt by now.

Has anyone heard of diminishing returns I.e. There is a huge difference in looks between 6000 polygon character models and 60,000 but hardly a difference between 60,000 and 120,000. That's what you get with xbone and ps4.

This game looks identical on both and any slight differences I'm sure your not going to see when running and gunning. Be happy with your platform choice and enjoy whatever games you decided to buy that platform for. Just don't be an idiot and say you bought it because a company said it was more powerful, cos' games can look mighty pretty but be abso crap I.e knack
