Cambridge-based games studio Jagex created a profile of the "Average Gamer" from a survey of over 1,000 gamers and it appears that, contrary to the stereotype of sweaty nerds with no social life, being a gamer in 2014 means life is pretty good
And did you know Jagex is valued at up to $1.25 billion?
"The Cambridge-based (the UK) video games publisher Jagex and Oslo-based (Norway) indie games developer Snowcastle Games (the developers behind "Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure"), today announced with great excitement and happiness that they have just signed a three-game publishing deal." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
"Leading global games developer and publisher Jagex has today announced the acquisition of Pipeworks Studios ("Pipeworks"), a highly established and innovative 200-person strong development studio, based in Eugene, Oregon." - Jagex.
"Almost half of all players consider themselves casual gamers, while over 1.6 million (.03%) of the UK claim they are closet gamer"
that article thumbnail looks creepy AF.
The average gamer has a penigina, absolutely adors to drink some beer while watching football with friends, and is a real friggin' badass at making adorable cupcakes for significant other.
Everyone plays games these days, theyve gone so mainstream.
"The Average Gamer" according to that video looks no different than a video about "The Average Person" would look, proving my point really. That is the most plain and generic face Ive ever seen.
i am an average gamer who plays a lot of games yet i don't consider my self hard core gamer. but what is an average game? is there a difference between average game and a casual gamer?
so confusing i am just a gamer
