Today we announced that Tom Clancy's The Division will be available in 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

I'm trying to understand why anyone thought this game would come out this year when we don't know anything about it?

We had an outstanding gameplay reveal last E3, and that was it. Some minor articles here and there about it, and people thought it would come this year??

Come on now, I think we know more about Agent than this game haha. Kidding of course, but trying to make a point. I was never anticipating this game for 2014, but I still highly anticipate it in general cuz it looks fantastic.

CYCLEGAMER3633d ago

Exactly....I was already expecting this, now I think Quantum Break and The Order will be pushed to 2015 as well....SMH

truefan13633d ago

This is great news, as an XB1 owner I know I'll already have Halo 2, and Sunset Overdrive to fulfill my multiplayer needs. Heck I'm even excited for COD. Destiny might even be good. The Division will be great for next year.

alexkoepp3633d ago

Just use the standard formula of original release date + 6 months, works every time.

Kingthrash3603633d ago

my emoji level of surpised.... -_- ....
but on the bright side delays make for a better game...most times.

badz1493633d ago

Another game delayed to make way for another Assassin's Creed! What a surprise...NOT!

TheGreatAndPowerful3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

The developers stated this months ago..it was Ubisoft that tried to push for 2014 release.

published Jan 7th.

"The Division won't see release in 2014"

juggulator3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

They had no shame in delaying it because we knew it was going to happen. The Order will be delayed until 2015 as well.

levian3633d ago

Just like that most of the games I was excited for are no longer coming out this year

Salooh3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

Never expected it for this year lol .

My prediction is Q2 . The witcher 3 in Feb and rockstar game in march . So won't expect it to compete with these two games :P .

Dee_913633d ago

Generation of the delays.
Prettier games= longer development.
I was expecting to hear a lot about this game at e3.

Palitera3633d ago

Golden rule: If it wasn't delayed, it will be.

solidjun53633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

This is pretty much Ubisoft's MO. Announce a game early, give a tentative date of "20XX;" delay the game. Rinse and repeat.

Besides, there was hardly any information on this game, outside the E3 reveal. I seriously thought it was coming this year.

joab7773633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

I wish someone would hire me to do PR. I will do it for 1/4 the price. I will release teaser trailers, do documentary type updates to keep hype steady and as soon as I know the release date, I will announce to the world that its 6 months after that.

As we draw closer, I will release more info, hit all the social sites, keep it in ppl's minds and then if we actually hit the target date, everyone will be ecstatic that its coming early...NOT BEING DELAYED

Its like my dad. He is always late but when u ask where he is, instead of telling the truth, he says he is closer than he is in hopes it keeps u happy. Same thing. Instead he should say he is further behind just as these games should. Then, if its delayed, its actually on time.

DaGR8JIBRALTAR3633d ago

Who didn't see that one coming though...

ArchangelMike3633d ago

I never had any expectation that this game would release 2014. They gave no indication that it was even near release.

On the flip side, it's looking like 2015 will be a good year for big AAA games, starting with The Witcher.

Jughead34163633d ago

One of my highly anticipated games too, but this holiday season is getting crowded. Shadow of mordor, driveclub, assassins creed unity, far cry 4, batman, dragon age, call of duty, alien isolation, and what ever else hasn't been announced yet

scootscottskeet933633d ago

I feel like delays are usually for the best but it's starting to get ridiculous how many games have actually been delayed this year.

Magicite3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

Delaysoft or Dubisoft.

mogwaii3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

YES! "Dubisoft" that right there is what i shall refer to them as from now on. You coined a term.....a bit like my "microsoftcocks" tm. :D

choujij3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

Damn it, Ubi...

*Sorry, the rest of my comment has been delayed.*

Future_20153633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

OMFG Ubisoft you actual *****

MYDEATH213633d ago

It happens so to the best of them. Which check really sucks

rivencleft3633d ago

I know right? That sucks because this game looks amazing, but once again I guess it gives them time to either polish it, or downgrade it *cough* Watch Dogs, kidding.

hellzsupernova3633d ago

THIS IS BULLSHIT UBISOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You had one job!
Im so annoyed by this but i would prefer a game that works. And i understand why it happened but damn im gutted

3-4-53633d ago

2015 is going to be epic.

CertifiedGamer3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

I blame the delay on Sony and Microsoft. If Sony would have built a system that could have ran the E3 demo of watch_dogs or the division on real time, then developers wouldn't be going back to the drawing board due to the reason that they have to figure out other ways to make the impossible possible. I believe PS4 can achieve the division graphics in desperate measures. If they implement a mandatory online requirement on the games and use some of the gaikai graphics above the PS4 graphics. Same thing with X1 but I know that will not happen.

DC7773633d ago

Figured this would happen. This game looks way to good to run on any of these consoles without some major issues.

-Foxtrot3633d ago

Ubisoft announce some of their big games way too early.

They couldn't even hang onto Far Cry 4 for E3.

ExitToExisT3633d ago

At least they will release FC4 6 months after announcing. Wish the same would have happened to Watch Dogs and Division.

GusHasGas3633d ago (Edited 3633d ago )

Lmao how much do you want to bet that Far Cry 4 will be delayed too

lonelyplayer3633d ago

Bad news. This game looks good.

Grown Folks Talk3633d ago

We all knew it was coming, but hoped we were wrong. Guess this means Rainbow Six 4th quarter 2016.

bcrazy183633d ago

I would rather them release the game without any bugs, etc. This game looks too good to not have it be perfect. Kudos to Ubisoft for doing the right thing although everyone wants this game lol.

GamingSinceThe80s3633d ago

So you think this mean's their won't be any bug's just because of a delay?Well if you believe that, I'v got a bridge I'd like to sell you.lol

andibandit3633d ago

Without bugs huh?

Trust me every game has bugs, looks like you'll be waiting till the end of time for that one.

bcrazy183633d ago

It's people takes someone's comment out of porpotion. I didn't mean bug free entirely lol I know there won't be an entirely bug free game but with the delay, they'll be able to minimize the amount of bugs. Trying to post a positive comment about this news and still people find a way to turn it negatively. Unreal lol

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183383d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot383d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno383d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic383d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman383d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon382d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
