From the Article:
"I know that once something hits the net it can be pirated very easily but I hope you can see the amount of time and money we have put forth to make this a reality. Just so that you don't see us as the evil corporation that is rolling in money and sticking it to the end-user, let me break down some costs:

"We are charging 99 cents per song of which we usually make about 60% or so. That's 60 cents. Additionally there are server management fees, the internal staff hours it took to get the contract up and running, and of course a license fee to create the initial contract. All in all, it probably costs us around 10K just to get the product up and running. We would need to sell 15,000 songs to break even and when it comes to game soundtracks that just isn't a number that you can easily hit.

"Odds are we will take a loss."

That's why I pay for my stuff. I refuse to DL because I know in the end it is screwing someone over. I would rather support the people that created something, whether it be a game, soundtrack, movie, etc. That's why even though I have a CFW PSP I refuse to DL ISO's. I would rather have that physical copy in my hands and be supporting that developer. But I know that I am a rarity considering how many people DL just to save a couple bucks. Kind of sad really.

I d/l stuff before I decide to buy it. Sometimes it's not worth the price. I know that people simply like free stuff regardless if they 'need' it. I would purchase it if their were more options like put it on the PSN, just like Pixel Junk Monsters OST.

I actually use my PS3 as a music hub. Just wish they had some more visual plugins.
