Have lost my interest in Call of Duty but Kevin Spacey's performance was one of the best I've seen in a video game. Will his performance and a thought provoking story create an excellent single player story?

NewMonday4067d ago

he single-handedly made me interested in the game, even if only for the single player story.

stanr4066d ago

Hopefully the single player story is not a MGS4 knockoff.

UltraNova4066d ago

You guys are easy customers... I want to see A LOT more to be interested in COD... Single player? yeah I can see me playing it but 6 months later at half the price! Its day one if the SP is over 8 hrs long and has a good story (not happening, I know).

showtimefolks4066d ago

this trailer reminds me of the original COD:MW, so its kind of good. Kind of a reboot in a way

hopefully this one will have the same kind of impact. Also going into 3 years development cycle should improve the game

Matt6664066d ago (Edited 4066d ago )

only blind fanboys will continue to support the copy and paste effort what is known as COD, until people stop supporting the copy and paste effort the developers of COD won't learn. Also it makes me laugh how a good actor is in COD you all suddenly forget how COD is the same game every year.

You got two choices continue supporting the copy and paste effort and have no right to complain about it because it would be your own fault for supporting it

or

stop supporting the copy and paste effort and keep complaining about it until the COD creators get the message

Neixus4066d ago

No offence, it was a good performance, but not the best.
Have you played other games, like TLoU?

Idk who the hell a Kevin Spacey is but he must be important.

Gazondaily4066d ago

All you need to know is that his power level is well over 9000.

GamingAngelGabriel4066d ago

Haha, this made me laugh. He's been in House of Cards, The Usual Suspects, American Beauty...

Kevin spacey is one of the greatest actors

Matt6664066d ago

no Samuel L Jackson and Morgan Freeman are way better actors.

OrangePowerz4066d ago (Edited 4066d ago )

Sev7n and Horrible Bosses ring a bell if the other mentioned movies and shows don't remind you of him? :D

He should have been on KZ:SF since he was always playing KZ3 on House of Cards lol.

Swiggins4066d ago

He plays a variety of Sony games on House of Cards, Sony is a big sponsor for the show and a partner of Netflix.

I'd love to see more Kevin Spacey in everything, he's like Brian Cranston, I can't get enough of him.

kungfuian4066d ago

Imagine this is the beginning of a long line of COD celeb appearances, only a few years away from the Harlem Globetrotters, lol

That said Spacey is the man and House of Cards is the shit!!!!!

Swiggins4066d ago

I'm imagining it like one of those old Scooby Doo episodes with the celebrity guests....

"Curly whatchu doin with that grenade?!"

"Oh I'm just dribblin it fo awhile."

"Curly why did we bring you to this warzone?! You do this everytime."

"Hey, better me than Phillis Diller or Don Knotts!"

OrangePowerz4066d ago (Edited 4066d ago )

If they could get the cast of The Expendables I would instantly pre order it :)

Given that Spacey can't be cheap I hope that means they put some real effort into the singeplayer. The one from the first Modern Warfare was great.

stanr4066d ago

COD celeb appearances have been going on for a long time. Gary Oldman and Kiefer Sutherland were in World at War, Oldman returned with Sam Worthington, Ed Harris and Ice Cube in Black Ops. Michael Keaton replaced Harris in Black Ops 2 and Stephen Lang was in Ghosts.

DOMination-4066d ago

Not to mention that bloke from Eastenders as Captain Price

That is a shame. AW is my favourite CoD. I hope they do a sequel one day.

LordoftheCritics803d ago

Thoroughly enjoyed AW.

Good campaign and everything.

LOGICWINS803d ago

Same. Fantastic campaign, but I wasn't crazy about the jetpacks in multiplayer.

RaidenBlack803d ago

I still prefer CoD based on historical settings or in near future settings(like CoD: Ghost) ... even though I liked infinite Warfare's campaign ... it was top notch

CobraKai803d ago

I felt it was a good time to revisit WW2

porkChop803d ago

I actually really enjoyed WWII. I never understood the hate it got.

JEECE803d ago

A lot of people who never played a shooter prior to like 2012 get really mad about anything that isn't a modern combat game.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains the series' lone bright spot this gen

GR: "If one series truly defined the seventh generation of consoles it was Call of Duty. Sadly, the series has struggled to reach the same heights on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and only Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare feels like the previous era of innovation and top-notch storytelling."

I quite enjoyed it but I think black ops 3 was the high point.

Modern warfare could be if a few tweaks are made and the new maps are good.

Baza2052d ago (Edited 2052d ago )

Story wise.. black opps 3 was all over the place. Modern Warfare story is so much more cohesive and actually makes sense.

Immorals2052d ago

Black ops 3 was terrible. The story was absolutely atrocious.

Knushwood Butt2052d ago

I quit that campaign after about an hour. All I remember is some crappy robot drone combat R2D2 thing that you had to use. I didn't make it past that.

Epicor2052d ago

For me the Black Ops installations have always been the high peaks in terms of PVP mode. Black ops 3 campaign was pretty bad though. Advanced Warfare's campaign was pretty good, one of the best ones - but PVP was bad!

gamer92052d ago

LOL Advanced Warfare, too funny

2052d ago
Kabaneri2052d ago

The campaign was OK, but the guns sounded like cap guns and the multiplayer maps were not memorable at all.
