YouTube's member 'noodlespagoodle' has shared a video, showing what the original Bioshock would look like in Unreal Engine 4. noodlespagoodle used assets from Bioshock and as a result of that, the new map is as close to the original material as possible.

by the looks of it the assets were just ripped out of Bioshock and put into UE4 to get the enhanced effects

It's nice, but I'm always disappointed in directly porting assets just because there's so much more that could be done now. Much more detail that's more optimized through UE4 than the special UE 2.5 for Bioshock.

I'm a gamer and this is news for me , It shows how original content from Bioshock looks in different engine ( if u read description of the video author says that he used original files and recreated scenes in UE4 ) , and please sir do post your original ideas regarding games/modeling/recreating etc on Reddit maybe someone will make them I'm sure they must be miles ahead of anything ever posted here

was expecting a litte more but I guess using the old assets can't really do miracles. The water is definitely much more detailed and the lighting is beautiful...but I think there is way too much "gloss" or "shine" happening.

I feel like it's completely ruining the atmosphere for such a dark and creepy place...

We'll have to see a native one:)

I think everyone needs to go and play the original Bioshock and then see this and tell me if its not impressive, because this is very impressive.

But even still I would not want an HD remake of the game. It was perfect the way it was when I played it those many years ago.. Let it rest in the ever great playground that is my mind.
