After a relatively short turn around period since Cabela’s African Adventures, a new Cabela’s game is now available in the form of Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts. Big Game Hunter is the flagship line of games in the franchise and the game lives up to its status. Pro Hunts is much closer to a hunting simulation than African Adventures was giving players the opportunity to learn the basics of hunting while tracking wild American game. If you’ve been wanting to see what its like to line up the perfect shot on a huge trophy buck, this game is as close as you are going to get to the real thing without getting out into nature. However, as superficially authentic as the game comes across, there are still some issues that plague the series that this game just couldn’t manage to shake.

Pretty good hunting game, which many gamers won't play..
Ken McKown writes: Some things are inevitable, such as death and taxes, and of course the annual release of hunting games from Cabela. While we aren’t seeing the series make the new console leap just yet, the latest from developer Cauldron continues to expand on the series with its latest creation, Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts. Available for a multitude of machines, the latest entry expands on the core concept and introduces celebrity hunting personalities. The end result is a solid hunting experience for those still invested.
