"Super Smash Bros. will be released first on 3DS this summer. The Wii U version will follow in the winter. And this is a very, very good thing."
NetherRealm confirms its Mortal Kombat franchise has sold over 80 million copies in the last 30 years, and here's how it competes against other fighters.
Don't care what anyone says, Smash isn't a traditional fighting game. May as well call Powerstone and Playstation All Stars fighting games. They're more of an arena fighter /party game.
Including Smash Bros in a list of fighting games, is like including GTA in Racing games.

I don't know. Core audience is going to wait and buy anyway, probably buy 3DS version at launch also. Maybe not to me and you, but to mighty round table-men in Japan.
Should be one heck of a good game that brings numbers regardless of Winter Release. I just wish Nintendo had something Big announced before Winter Season 2014. Or should I say, More announced.
I'm fine with it, but I was hoping for some sort of cross-buy.
Anybody else shed a tear when Megaman's final smash was revealed? I did... that was beautiful... well played Nintendo... well played.
