There's a certain risk associated with dumping one console for another. The market is currently supporting two generations at once, and while most gaming enthusiasts have held on to their PlayStation 3's and Xbox 360's, the shift from old to new is a slow one. Gearbox, the company behind Borderlands, isn't interested in taking that risk. However, it's not all about the money.
Gearbox's latest patch for BL1, BL2, BL The Pre-Sequel have caused players to get stuck in the loading screen.
So many games get screwed up due to bad patches or updates. Gearbox needs to fix this asap.
Could never play 3 online because it would always freeze and restart my system
Deleted it soon after I got it
Wasn’t happy
I really have had enough of patches and updates. Stop releasing unfinished and broken games already! Keep finding myself playing Dreamcast and Super Nintendo lately. No damn updates loading nonsense etc.
Launch into the Borderlands universe and shoot ‘n’ loot your way through a brand new adventure that rockets you onto Pandora’s moon in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!
It is not unplayable. I played at those frames and resolution in my ps3 back in 2014.
Starting today, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is free at Epic Games Store. The free game offer runs until June 4 at 10 AM. Once you claim it, it’s yours to keep.
IMO, not really.
It doesn't look very impressive, getting strong arkham origins vibes from it.
I think it looks quite beautiful. Better on next-gen? Yes, but cel shading looks great on current gen.
Not really, it's proof of how lazy a developer can be.
I mean new characters, new setting, same assests, same skins, same weapon designs
It's just a filler untill Borderland 3 comes out.
I wouldn't mind as much if like Arkham Origins it came out just when a new gen arrived but so far head when new consoles will gained more of a audience.
Pass from me, even if I do love Borderlands.
Time for a piece of social commentary/observation. Isn't it interesting how prevalent "polarization" is in contemporary culture? Next-gen "can wait"...because we have value in current-gen. Either-or. One against the other. Extend this into the squabbles of the past year: X1 or PS4, BF4 or CoD:Ghosts, MGS:GZ good or bad, et al. Why are we all so confrontational and polarized in our discussion and commentary on these sorts of issues in gaming? Why do we consistently use polarized language, language of either-or? What of alternative views, what of gradations, what of perspectives, what of enjoyment of what each has to offer, what of the value of last-gen and of current-gen?
And of course, this phenomenon isn't limited to gaming. It's apparent throughout contemporary culture, most obviously in politics.
Just a thought for the thoughtful out there.
Not...
They are just trying to milk some money out of the huge install base, nothing else.
