Nice review...this game reminds me of Macross. He points out the X1 dips in fps during huge explosions. Hope the PS4 holds steady during these fights...can't wait to play game, looks really good!

Looks great, I've been wanting a space dog fighting game ever since......well since Colony Wars, this could fill that gap?

If you've got an Xbox 360, I'd suggest finding a copy of Project Sylpheed (it's getting slightly rare now IIRC). Underrated little game, that - massive replay value and astonishing visuals. Feel it got short shrift.

Great review. I've been waiting for this game. I can't believe it hits tomorrow. Space combat and air combat in general is my favorite genre. This game reminds me a lot of freespace, with a mech suit instead of a proper ship. But the missions seem set up just like freespace. I haven't played a game like this since X on the PC. That and freespace were my last space shooter games. They are few and far between, not a lot of people make them. I can't wait to play this. This will probably end up being one of my favorite games on the PS4 in its lifespan. Hopefully more developers, especially since there is an open door policy for Indies, will make air combat and space combat shooters this generation.

I am so appreciative a game like this is coming so soon in the next gen consoles lifespan. Guaranteed to be one of my favorites. Tomorrow can't come fast enough.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this since the first time I heard about it...space sim/combat has become one of my favorite genres over the last year or two, I picked up Descent 3(played the first when I was a kid)and freespace. Totally jacked that the genre seems to be making a comeback(especially on console no less!) as I'm also waiting on Starlight Inception. Literally just heard about it a couple days ago, and I'm pretty stoked. I'll be playing SSZ until that comes out for sure!

This, then Starlight Inception on Vita in a few weeks... Good time for space sim fans
