Gamespy was one of like the first clients I had on my PC back in the day for gaming.

well since they are leaving just switch everything to STEAM!

Oh No this will effect BF2 servers......I think?

I think so. I know Borderlands will be affected too. GameSpy was my introduction to online pc gaming.

Glad to see this finally happen. Hopefully Borderlands and BF2 on PC will be able to use different services.

No they're more than likely going to shut down. It's up to the developers to make any changes and they definitely won't care about anything 5+ years old

One possibility would be Gameranger, but Gameranger would need to announce support for those games, and I'll bet that they will.

Thanks for the mention. Yeah, Borderlands can already use GameRanger (and in fact, it was popular at the time of release due to the badly functioning GameSpy tech). BF2 looks like it should be possible to add.
