GameReactor To Have First Images Of Bioshock PS3

In what appears to be the first real confirmation of the wonderful Bioshock coming to PS3, Swedish videogame mag GameReactor claims to have the first images in the next issue, due June 12th.

"Bioshock till Playstation 3 - Vi har de första bilderna" - which TheSixthAxis presumes means 'we have the first images'.

bioshock2 will follow and be released on the same day as the 360's version aswell its not soo much a kick in the teeth for 360 owners its more of a 'great lets all just play good games together'.

I saw it coming, but I also didn't take notice.

The game I played was obviously totally different to what everybody else played. It was very mediocre. The story was good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't like it was implemented in any special way. People raved about it taking control away from you in that cutscene, and that just felt cheap to me, rather than special.

I am happy it's coming to the PS3, but only becuase it extends the library, I would have preferred other games come. This seems to be far too highly critically acclaimed for it's worth.

I think the reasoning behind it is for Bioshock 2. They have a better chance of selling Bioshock 2 on ps3 is they release Bioshock 1.

I won't be buying it and neither will a lot of people because i hate games that are late to the party. If they take off at leas 20 bucks i might consider

I'm gonna buy it. The game looks great. I've played a little of it. I've heard nothing but good about it. It's coming with additional content (rumors) and, it's probably important to playing #2.

I'm stoked this series is coming to the PS3.

Just for the record, when the game was released on 360 I didnt care about it, and now that its coming on on ps3, I still dont. might give it a rental, if im bored enough. dont really care for fps without multiplayer.

I agree with Fishy Fingers. A year old game is not bad at all if the game was great. I recently finished God of War 1 for the first (on my 60GB PS3) and it was new to me. I'm hoping to get through God of War 2 before NG2 is released.

He's right. it happened with Oblivion too, which had less loading times more bugs fixed, better framerate and lets not forget they threw in Knights of the nine too (even on the standard version)

Iv played the demo of this game on PC, then on my damn 360 while i was trying to find a use for it. its very pretty and a cool idea but really just not for me

Expect to see a better looking and better running version on the PS3 since theyv had more time to work on it.

better looking version? i dont know i mean gta4 was suppose to look better but when looked closer the 360 was better check eurogamer , kotaku etc. and the ps3 version always froze just like the ps3 version of oblivion and assassin creed.. and thats what i find annoying about my ps3 why do i have to wait an extra year for games man ps3 is nowhere near as good as the ps2 or ps1 it such a shame i mean wheres are jrpg? we only have 2 exclusive fps out right now and haze blew i mean im finding harder and harder to justify my purchase of ps3

If by now, with all the games currently available, and the amazing 2008 lineup, you still can't see that the PS3 is the console to own, then I find it doubtful that you actually own one.

Most multiplat games including DMC4/BURNOUT/AC/GTA4 and a lot of others look better on PS3 even despite being rushed PORTS

Oblivion froze on x360 not PS3. even with a FIX OBLIVION froze on X360.

The great news is that this looks to be true. therefore I can be happy about getting to play this game on my PS3.

the bad news is, if this doesn't end up being as good, or even if it does turn out to be as good we will hear endless fanboy comments from both sides, such as my version is better than yours, but honestly. Who gives a crap. We should celebrate the game for what it has achieved, as a great game, which was innovative and different and that is what honestly counts.

but truthfully its clear why this game is coming out on the PS3. Profits. A great game made great profits on one platform, but now its multiplatform it makes sense to start milking it.

Well there is also the fact if Bioshock 2 is indeed multiplatform then they have a much better chance of selling to PS3 owners if they had a crack at the first one. It's hard to sell a part 2 when you never offered them a part 1. Plus, if they are making 2 multiplatform, I don't see an inferior PS3 port of part 1.

Couldn't agree more, on the Bioshock 2 point. I would certainly be more likely to play a game which I have played the original of. Hence why I ould be keen to play Mass Effect, before looking i nto Mass Effect 2. Its not graphically I am worried about the Ps3 version, I'm sure graphically it will look great, it is lock up issues etc. Which plenty of companies seem to stray upon all to often.

That's true, Mass Effect 2 is also one that has potential to be multi platform, but I see less chance of the PS3 getting the first one since MS published it unless some type of deal has been worked out with EA. It might be tough to follow the story if you never played 1.

I might get ME on the PC as it looks like a nice game.

i keep saying this and i will say it again, ...bioshock will not b a big selling game on the ps3 because by the time it comes out other better ps3 exlusive games will be out by then, ..look at lost planet it sold alot on the 360 but when they ported it to the ps3 it did not sell well because other ps3 games was out by then, i personly did not like bio shock when i played it, ...the game is an average game to me, and i am sure mgs4 will be inside my ps3 even tho bioshock is relased,...they will be so many other great games out on the ps3 by then,...i dont know y so many people is excited about bioshock,.if theY is one game that needs porting to the ps3 and will sell millions even tho games like mgs4, r2 e.t.c will be out is GEARS OF WAR 1&2 BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN..!!!

True but Lost planet isn't in the same league as Bioshock. Lost Planet got bad reviews on the 360 and on the PS3. Where as Bioshock is the top rated game on the 360 and has been talked about for a year on how good it is. So this could sell pretty d@mn well, and may even push some consoles. Since there could be some PS2 owners out there looking to make the jump to either the PS3 or the 360. They like Bioshock but have a history with the Playstation name and this could help them make the jump. Now I'm not saying this will happen, but it's a possibility.

And definitely not the last. Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, Oroki 2, Ace Combat, Ninja Gaiden, Infinite Undiscovery, Culcept Saga, Mass Effect, Kane and Lynch, Oblivion, Two Worlds... there are many reasons to think that these will be ported. Eternal Sonata is confirmed already, Kane and Lynch, Oblivion and Two Worlds already happened, Vesperia was confirmed by Namcos line-up, and there are tons of incentives for these japanese companies to release on PS3, especially after MGS4 and FFXIII comes out; Microsoft is only delaying the inevitable.

Most of these are likely timed exclusives. What makes people think Ninja Gaiden 2 is Xbox 360 exclusive? People thought Ninja Gaiden was a franchise exclusive to Microsoft, but 3 years after NG came out on Xbox, Sigma came out on PS3. That does not mean it will take 3 years to port Ninja Gaiden 2; the transition from Xbox to PS3 was understandable to take up to 3 years, because they developed new engine from scratch for a next-gen console, and the assets had to be completely re-done, not to mention that the PS3 final dev kits were not released until 2006.

However, the Ninja Gaiden Sigma engine is already done. You would only need new assets to make a new game, and it just so happens that NG2 has new assets. There would be very little need for extra optimization. Hell, the engine is probably very similar to the PS3 engine, or do you think Tecmo built two engines from scratch? That would be costly. A port of NG2 to PS3 would cost very little, and it would take a lot less time to make than it took from Xbox to PS3, a year at most.

There are many reasons to think most Xbox 360s japanese "exclusives" will make it to PS3 sooner or later, and most western Xbox 360 "exclusives" will make it to PC.

What I never got about this game is with all the hype and GotY awards it sold less than 2 Million. Not alot for an Xbox game. CoD3 sold more than that, and that sucked balls.

Very true dude a lot of fanboys said sh!t about this game and a lot are probably flip flopping. But these are the rabid fanboys. Me on the other hand may be a fan of Sony, but I can give credit where credit is due. Bioshock, Gears, Mass Effect all these game I thought from the beginning where great and would love to play. Now in the same regard there are some crazy 360 fanboys out there that bash Final Fantasy and MGS4, but would be foaming at the mouth to get these in there hands. So all I can say is fanboys are childish and immature no matter what system they like.

If its not a Microsoft studios game then I don't see why it shouldn't come to PS3.
I've already played it multiple times on 360 so I doubt ill get it again, but for people who don't or wont buy a 360 then if it does come across I'd definitely recommend a purchase.

If played in the right conditions (no distractions, lights off n stuff) it has the power to totally immerse you in to its world. Similar to condemned and silent hill. The atmosphere of the game really seeps into the room as you play it.

Well, for me it does anyway. I might just have a more vivid imagination, oh and a 72" screen with hd projector & 5.1, might make a small difference lol.
