After over a year of hype, speculation and delay, Ubisoft's Haze breaks cover - and despite being developed by Free Radical, the team behind the excellent TimeSplitters 2 on PS2 - it fails to better UT3, Resistance and CoD4. Haze looks poor, lacks set-pieces and feels like a novel idea that missed its window of opportunity, frayed by the requests of nervous Brand Managers and cruel demands of next-gen development.
Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "When shopping for new video games you can often trust the name publisher or developer on the box to be an indication of the quality of the game. Names like Nintendo, Square Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Capcom, Xbox Game Studios and Sega are world famous because they helped shape the industry by releasing some of the most defining video games of all time. Though sometimes even these great gaming houses stumble and put out a stinker."
Splatterhouse remake . Loved the og’s at the arcade growing up . Hell the best thing about the remake was the og,s were included . And left alive by Square . That game had so much potential , but the gameplay was worse horrendous .
I'm pretty much certain that any Sonic game that comes out will be terrible, I've not enjoyed one since the original side-scrolling days of the MegaDrive.
Guns, drugs, and unnecessary war. Fun for the whole family.
No,the currently most 'hyped' shooter on the Playstation 3 is Killzone 2.
Thank you for trying though.
now im defiantly getting it. my friend said its awesome, he said dont listen to the reviews, he honestly dosent know how the reviews are that horrible for such a good game.
and killzone 2 will have the same result... sony needs to slow down the hype machine until they know is something is really worth the hype... after lair they should have learned their lesson. if a game is good, it'll sell, and you need to the word out. if not, don't waste your advertising money. MGS4 may get more hype by hardcore gamers, but in the general public sony hyped haze more so far.
Not a bad score really...so it's average? So what? Average doesn't mean bad. Bottomline: Haze still has good value and should hold me until Resistance 2.
Haze was not a highly anticipated and over hyped title most of the Ps3 nation was waiting on you can ask any gamestop or ebgames employee anywhere solely based on preorders so cut the crap. In the end when it boils down to it after our inventory has built up try measuring the number of highly rated games the Ps3 will have in comparison to the 360 that will tell the truth. People keep comparing a years head start... I guess if this was track and field the 360 would be the winner but this AINT....lol
