WiiWare and Virtual Console Monday Releases For Wii (5/19/08, US)

Nintendo has announced the WiiWare and Virtual Console game releases for today. Game publisher Konami and Hudson each have a WiiWare game to offer. Watch for them on the Wii Shop starting at 9am PST. See links to screenshots from the new WiiWare games below.

Sky Kid Review | NLife

Originally an arcade game, the 1986 Namco NES title Sky Kid draws hard battle lines from the start, though exactly who the warring parties are is unclear. This quirky game is iconic of Namco's early days and even earned a song and a cameo in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U. The action here is a combination of unforgiving and short, which results in an experience that's something of a mixed bag.

TotalGaming: Star Soldier R review

"I can only hope that Hudsonsoft are testing the water with this release, and will put out a full set of levels should Star Soldier R prove to be a success.

While Star Soldier R is still a good purchase at only 800 points, the decision to release such a game so brief is an odd one, like Warner Brothers only putting out half a film or JK Rowling only writing half a novel. Very, very strange indeed."
