Boom: Interceptor Entertainment Has Acquired Apogee/3D Realms

DSOGaming writes: "Now this is getting really interesting. Interceptor Entertainment was ready to announce a new Duke Nukem game when Activision filed a lawsuit against it and 3D Realms. And while we’re still waiting to find out what will happen with Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction, Interceptor’s Owner, Game Director and CEO announced that his company has acquired both Apogee and 3D Realms."

It's too bad Duke was lost for a while. I would play a well made duke game.

I like that Interceptor wants to bring back shooters with an old-school feel in a major way, especially when using such classic IP's as they have shown interest in. Let's be honest here though, while the game was fun and certainly faithful to the original, their first major project, Rise of the Triad (2013), was a rather janky experience.
