The first and the last story DLC for AC IV: Black Flag is definitely worthy of your time.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Freedom Cry is an unassuming game. Released first as downloadable content for ACIV: Black Flag, Ubisoft Quebec’s expansion was relegated to side-story status from the start. Despite this, what Freedom Cry actually offers is a glimpse of Assassin’s Creed at its best, its look at the 18th century slave trade standing out as a far more interesting use of a historical setting than many of the series’ main games.
Ryan from Awesome Games writes: 'It’s no surprise that writers and directors have turned their keen eyes to the gaming industry as the latest way to propagate political messages that target mass audiences. Now I’m not saying in any way that I disagree with the messages they display, in fact I’d go so far as to suggest their messages are part of why I think they deserve so much appreciation.'
There’s a good helping of content on sale this week in the North American PlayStation Store, including a ton of Assassin’s Creed titles, Borderlands 2 and its DLC, and many titles from the Nordic Games library.
