Friday Top 10: Worst MMO Games

Alex Cote from 3GEM writes: 'Some people didn’t understand why some games did not make the list. I understand that this Worst MMO list will not make some of you happy, but keep in mind that what you might consider the best is not necessarily the case for others. This is opinion-based, so strap yourself in – we might experience some turbulence!'

WHAT?! WoW and Old Republic are great...

pandehz4090d ago

Wow, SWTOR and Guild Wars2 are the best out there atm.

I have played almost every AAA paid mmo that ever existed and this list fails my intellect big time.

zeal0us4091d ago

Majority of those on that list have their flaws but they are not the worst MMOs. I have seen plenty generic mmos, P2W mmos and grind fest mmos that are 10-100x worse than any of those on that list.

You're gonna try to put WoW on this list meanwhile it has been the most successful MMO to date and is still at a very strong 7.8(ish) MILLION subs. And no i don't care about your reasoning for putting WoW on the list a good game is a good game. It's not their fault people cant make anything that is better.

SWTOR was a fine MMO to play. The class quests and voice acting were top notch, and if you actually tried to do the raiding at endgame they were very fun with some very different bosses from MMO's that i have seen. People dont even try to be subtle that they are looking for hits anymore.

Edit: Re-read it, at the bottom he even says "I am sure that, by now, some of you are very disappointed with this list or at least very angry with my choices." Smooth...

Been there since day 1, and the first beta, same with GW2. 20 years and they never said oh now we need to charge a monthly fee, and they only made Guild Wars no other games. I'm going to assume GW3 will have the same business model.

I got to 50 I believe but never got into it very much.It was fun but all of my friends were still playing EQ. Good to see it’s still going though.

I miss Marvel Heroes like crazy. Still one of my favorite games.

3 responses and 140º heat. 🤔

I just submitted a story about a dev calling out journos for writing hit pieces on other competing games. It certainly puts all the negative press about certain games into perspective.

NoDamage86d ago

Journos are the problem in the industry right now. People might make inflammatory comments but that's always been the case in the internet type of discourse. Journos fan the flames and most of the times they start the fire.

For the record, I know it's pinned because it's videogamer. But why are we pinning their sub par content

thorstein86d ago (Edited 86d ago )

They're both (N4G and VideoGamer) owned by BGFG.

Christopher86d ago

BGFG owns both N4G and video gamer. The owners want to promote content. At least it's an interview and not something else. It was supposed to unpin after 2 hours, but something went wrong. I manually unpinned it.

My man, you’re too emotionally invested to a website. Take a step back and just enjoy the content you like, avoid the content you don’t. If you don’t fit within a community, just try another until your views align.
