Since RPG Maker first launched on Steam, one of the biggest requests from fans was to integrate with Steam Workshop so that they could share their resources and projects. The good news? That’s now a reality. RPG Maker VX Ace allows you to share resources, games and projects with the rest of the world. There’s even an abundance of free content already available for people to download.
The latest Humble Bundle packs several RPG Maker games, Skyborn, Ara Fell, plus a bunch of DLC.
The Humble Software Bundle: RPG Maker is now live. It features software to help you build your own role-playing games, including RPG Maker XP, RPG Maker VX, RPG Maker VX Ace, and RPG Maker MV, along with unique character and music assets to set your creations apart.
Motherboard writes: "Everyone that loves games has thought, at some point in their life, “Wow, I would love to make a game one day!” And now there are dozens of programs and tools that make the process a bit easier. From Game Maker and Construct 2 for 2D game development, to Unity and Unreal for larger projects. RPG Maker is a very easy and popular tool, but it comes with a stigma: people often think any game made with the program is an easy-bake, color-by-numbers project."
Very happy about this. It'll most likely get me back into it again. I was just tired with the limited resources of tilesets, characters, and especially monsters. Hopefully this'll inspire a lot of people to add onto this great platform and really make it shine.
