A Farewell to Harold Ramis: 1944-2014
Ramis’ early films had the reputation of being overly raunchy (i.e. Animal House in 1978) yet gut-bustingly funny. Many of today’s comedy writers and directors have named Ramis as their inspiration (Judd Apatow, Jay Roach, Peter and Bobby Farrelly, Adam Sandler to name a few), many of whom cast Ramis in small roles in some of their films.
