While a Brazilian website claims The Last of Us 2 is already in production and is set for a 2015 release, studio Naughty Dog has yet to confirm the sequel's existence other than it's "being considered." As it stands, the chances of us seeing a follow-up is at best, a 50% chance, according to senior studio staff. During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit, The Last of Us Creative Director Neil Druckmann and Game Director Bruce Stanley fielded questions from fans about the title's DLC, Left Behind, and talks inevitably turned to the much-anticipated sequel. According to Druckmann, there's a 50/50 chance of a sequel happening, stating, "If you're asking about a sequel... right now I'd say it's 50/50."
Naughty Dog has a lot of scope to extend the Intergalactic IP to other mediums, provided the sci-fi game turns out successful.
I could see this game having a similar feel to 'The Expanse' if it was to be adapted for TV. That's just based off of the looks and vibes that the trailer gives me since we don't know anything else about this game LOL.
Two award-winning masterpieces, together in one incredible collection.
As expected. Unless it's going to Xbox or Switch 2, we can stop hearing about these older games now? We can move on to just news about new games?
This will be the 4th time Sony sells us The Last of Us Part 1.. And the 2nd time on the PS5.
Store says I already own it. I guess it’s just a straight twin-pack. Looks like they added 4 maps to ‘No Return’.
billibil-kun: "As The Last of Us season 2 prepares to air on HBO, we've spotted a mysterious reference to a special edition of a physical PS5 game from the franchise. Here's our take on the game, which remains unclear for now."
I hope it's both ps5 games bundled with all updates including the new no return add ons for April. I'll triple dip on that.
I highly doubt TLOU2 is in development, nevermind a 2015 release. It's way too soon to tell, how longs it been out, 6-8 months? That's nothing. I'm torn on a sequel, part of me loved how the first game ended on a cliffhanger, the second part really wants to know what happened afterwards. Either way, I believe getting a brand new Uncharted game on the PS4 should be there biggest concern.
They would be insane not to release TLOU2 especially when it has pretty much won every award available. Hopefully in 2-3yrs time we will see an even better TLOU with an even bigger campaign
