RoboCop Review – Eskimo Press
Remakes and reboots of popular movie franchises always generate mixed responses from the franchise’s respective fan base. Yet the remake trend in Hollywood shows no sign of letting up, and now we have a new RoboCop. Paul Verhoeven’s original film was a ultra-violent and gritty satire of 1980’s America that still stands as one of the most beloved action movies to this day. Does this RoboCop reboot hold a candle to the original, and is a movie about a part-man part-robot relevant in 2014?
