As so many people have pointed out, vgchartz is just some kid who is a massive Xbox fan making up fake sales numbers.

With Sony giving real sales numbers two straight months apart he unable to make up PS4 numbers any lower than this. Otherwise he would have made up significantly lower PS4 numbers.

It's important to consider margin of error, which in this case is very small in favor for VGchartz.

There's no mystery as to how the kid makes up his fake sales numbers at vgchartz.

Take the latest official numbers and add on the average weekly sales since then.

For Sony consoles now take that number and make it smaller by an amount that he believes is just barely believable.

For Microsoft consoles he does the opposite.

It's too bad Sony didn't release real sales numbers this often with the PS3. They gave fake sales sites like vgchartz way too much room to lie about PS3 sales.

Hopefully Sony continues to not give vgchartz much room to lie about sales this gen.

Who cares if it's 5.6 or 5.4 or whatever. All I need to know is that it's selling like a mofo. It's by far the fastest selling console ever released which means that Sony will make tons of cash to invest in first party games.

Even as a high end PC gamer my jaw dropped after seeing the Order 1886 gameplay (hope it remains that quality). I'll buy the PS4 just for that. I still have my 600 bucks that I intended to spend on the Xbone (now I'm glad I didn't). Maybe I'll pick up one when Infamous launches so I can try that out.

I'm not too surprised the PS3 is doing better. Hell, the 500GB PS3 bundled with a game is only $279 from Gamestop. Plus there are hundreds of games available, with more to come. Not talking $hit about the Xbox One, but there haven't been too many great exclusives out yet, aside from maybe Forza 5.

Not to mention Sony store sales, picked up puppeteer and rain, and a few other games for less than $20. Puppeteer was $7.50 and gamestop was selling it it at $35/$40 when that sale happened.

I've been following VGChartz for years and yes, they do adjust in what appears a biased way. 8 months ago they had the PS3 with a 1.5 million lead over the 360, and since then (according to VGChartz OWN numbers) the PS3 has outsold the 360 every single week by between 30,000 - 45,000 units. But because the PS3 is no longer on the main page, that gap has miraculously and mysteriously been reduced to 900,000. Even if you don't do the maths, it's curious to say the least.

But I used their numbers when it was in favour of the 360 and feel it would be hypocritical not to use them now. A lead for the PS brand on that site is a 'sure' lead because of the slight bias. They are still around 200,000 undertracked even though the official numbers have been released for the PS4, but they WILL eventually be adjusted because they have a forum of savvy consumers that won't let them off the hook that easily, of which I'm one.

I'm glad to see PS3 still doing well. I have maaad games to play/finish before getting a PS4.

Hitman, Beyond, Bioshock Infinite, Tell Tale's Walking Dead, Deus Ex, Infamous 2....and so much more.

Once they get the hardware/software bugs fixed AND I beat these games...then I'll get a PS4. Either way, gotta love Sony for giving me generations of awesome gaming EVERY time.

I don't care about graphics, gameplay is more important.
Who cares, we have Titanfall.

Reality... You're paying more for less, and a camera you're not going to use.
