"It’s hard to deny that Naughty Dog’s incredibly talented studio consistently exhibits the expertise necessary to deliver gamers with some of the most remarkable story-driven experiences available on home entertainment systems. With last year’s post-pandemic survival action title, The Last of Us, finally gracing our eager fingertips towards the end of the PlayStation 3′s console cycle, it was uplifting to be able to properly say (after several months of anticipation) that this acclaimed developer’s newest intellectual property greatly exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, after successfully concluding Ellie and Joel’s human condition-depicting tale of survival, and exploring every nook and cranny of a fungal spore-infected, post-apocalyptic United States, we desperately longed for another narrative-focused opportunity to dive back into the engaging, harsh universe of The Last of Us.
