Take-Two: We don't need to release GTA yearly

Publishing giant Take-Two has told MCV it has no plans to increase the number of Grand Theft Auto games it releases.

Good - R* has so many amazing IPs, I'd hate it if GTA was the only one they used.

I appreciate everything they do with GTA, I really do. But is anyone else finding that these days, with all these great open world sandbox games, that GTA just doesn't do for them what it used to? GTA V has more things to do than ever, yet I got bored of it way sooner than previous games. It's weird.

The trick is to ignore the train wreck multiplayer, and stick with single. Seriously, GTA Online is a backwards stumble from what made the single player so fantastic. It's even behind the likes of Grand Theft Auto IV's online, which was a simple spawn + wreak havoc design.

EDIT:

Look, I know I rag on the multiplayer all the time, but I can't respect a gameplay architecture that punishes the player for participating in group and crew activity. I know IV had an issue with police, but you had an option to remove them. In this; it's either follow the rules or get shot to death by an overpowering mob of police officers.

I wouldn't mind them doing what they did with 3 and making a new city every year while another team work on the next GTA that of course depends on how many teams they have.
