Shaun Kellett: "The world of Albion needs a hero, and whether you’re an experienced adventurer looking to return, or a first time hero looking for fame, Fable can offer a delightful experience packed full of charm. What it doesn’t offer, however, is an experience that quite lives up to the quality of modern games.

Fable possesses arguably the best story from all the series and it certainly remains a favourite of mine. It not only makes a great starting point for the world of Fable itself, but also makes for an involving playthrough for those just looking for a good tale. Unlike most other RPGs Fable doesn’t require hours of investment to trudge through its lore. This doesn’t mean Fable isn’t well realised though, in fact it’s quite the opposite. From the opening segments, and even through its aesthetic alone, Fable quickly gives you a feel for the world of Albion; a setting which possesses it’s own charm incomparable to most others out there. The cities, characters, and even the quests all carry something unique which makes Fable stand out as a different experience to most present day RPGs"
