Games That Truly Deserve A Return This Generation

It is safe to say that the launch of the industry’s newest darlings, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, has been extremely successful. But as with every generation, there are some games which hold a special place in people’s hearts and those gamers spend every day scouring the interwebs in search of news that their favorite game will be making a triumphant return to the screen.

I read the title thinking it was talking about older games, like Tenchu, Road Rash or Legend Of The Dragoon

Borderlands 3 is guaranteed to be in development (it's the only game keeping Gearbox in business) and a sequel to TLOU is as obvious as tomorrow being Tuesday (it is in the UK anyway)

TLOU needs a sequel? Not so much a sequel as a game within the same universe, which would be quite excellent.

I think there's little doubt that Borderlands will be back along with The Last of Us, and Resistance. I'm all giddy just thinking bout it. All in 1080p thanks to the PS4 8gig GDDR5 and nuclear GPU.

Mewhy the ps4s gpu is fairly weak by 2014 standards. It's the way the system can be optimized that gets te graphics the way they are.

I just found out a while ago that it was actually made by Polyphony Digital before they made Gran Turismo, I never knew that. I'm not really into racing games, I wish they'd get back into this type of game again. Space Mech Shooter FTW! Lol

I loved that game! Me and my friends would duel for hours on it back in the day. It was so different than anything else, one well placed hit is all it took. Plus how if you hit an arm or leg they would actually lose the ability to use them. It was ahead of it's time, I'd love to see it make a comeback.

The big open spaces were cool too, and chopping down the cherry blossoms :D

- All the older action adventure platformers (Crash/Banjo Kazooie, Ty etc.)
- Star Wars RPG like Kotor
- Star Wars Tie Fighter please
- A Proper Superman game now that we have more capable systems
- Turok! I miss playing this game with my friends, another one with a proper splitscreen survival mode would be sick.
- Kingdom Hearts 3 (Already Getting)
- Battlefront (Already getting)

I think if all those games made a return, I'd cry.
