Might & Magic is one of those series that doesn’t have a massive fan base, but a very loyal fan base, which is something to be expected of a series that has gone on for almost 30 years now, being first released in the last 80’s. But it is also a series that has not had a game released in over 10 years, which always sparks worry of late when old games get new sequels, of course this isn’t going to be a bastardisation that is new versions of syndicate or Dungeon Keeper though which is a relief. But at the same time as this, there is a lot of those fans expecting a something fantastic from this sequel after such a long down time.

The new game from Ubisoft's Might & Magic series tries to bring the RPG genre back to its origins. Whoever gets in Might & Magic Legacy X having never played an RPG to 10 or 15 years may not realize exactly what this game is. While drawing inspiration from the games of the older genus, most of its mechanics are current and modern 3D graphics.

I think its important to note that this reviewer is NOT a fan of classic M&M gameplay, by his own admission.
He thinks classic M&M fans will like it more than he did. Well guess what -- we do.
I guess in that regard it's a fair review? I dunno, 3/5 seems too low, but I have always loved M&M, so I guess I'm biased. This game caters to its fanbase -- you can't blame them for that.
