Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has been a breath of fresh air during this time of little to no games being released, and with new consoles like the Xbox One and PS4, there are bound to be uncertainties as developers work on the systems.
Recently, Crystal Dynamics' Scot Amos talked about working on the Xbox One and PS4, but did express the fact that there are some unknowns when looking at the futures of both consoles.
Blaze Entertainment has today announced the next cartridge collection for Evercade from its ongoing partnership with Crystal Dynamics with the Legacy of Kain Collection.
There's rumours of this series getting remasters, so I'll wait and see if either of these two games get one. But if they don't, I'll pick this up instead.
I may get this because of these games. They have some decent retro stuff but this would be the best games out of all of them so far
Polygon: "Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics launched a new website for the franchise on Wednesday — Valentine’s Day is also Lara Croft’s birthday — with another peek at the impending “unified” design for its action heroine. New artwork of Lara sporting a post-Survivor trilogy look that evokes her classic design supports the theory that the Lara we saw last fall in Call of Duty is basically the character’s future appearance."
Crystal Dynamics really going hard with the man face. They sure do hate feminine looks!
Great artwork but please…this unified timeline shit sounds awful
It won’t work
Classic Lara and Survivor Lara have completely different origin stories meaning they are two separate timelines you can’t unify together
I really don’t want Survivor Lara anywhere near Classic Lara.
As long as she had dual guns, and doesn't whine all the damn time. They really dropped the ball with the new lara, had such a good start and didn't know what to do with it.
The Call of Duty version?! Surely there is a Fortnite version they can use instead to really nail the feel.
Gamesradar writes: "Embracer Group's bloodbath continues as Tomb Raider dev Crystal Dynamics reports layoffs
Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has suffered a wave of layoffs just months after insisting that the ongoing staff hemorrhage at parent company Embracer Group wouldn't affect the new Tomb Raider game or the studio's collaboration with The Initiative on the Perfect Dark reboot."
"Crystal Dynamics made the difficult decision to part ways with 9 Brand/Marketing and 1 IT employee today due to an internal restructuring..."
Small layoff, hardly news worthy.
Embracer has left one hell of a mess and Tencent will be swimming around picking at the scraps.
ffs, Embracer is already looking to sell Gearbox ... Volition studio was shutdown
now, CD got affected and even affect Eidos aswell?
Better sell Gearbox to Sony
And CD & Eidos to MS
than shrink these studios to bare minimum
