Not Enough is Being Done to Preserve Video Game History, and We As Gamers Need to Start Caring

There are no people alive who witnessed the origins of music. There are no people alive who witnessed the origins of literature. There are very few people alive who really witnessed the birth of film, and that depends on where you define that date in terms of what movies would ultimately become. There are, however, entire generations of people who were around for the beginning of gaming. That is a fact that’s significance cannot be downplayed. It is a fact that everyone who considers themselves a gamer has to start appreciating, and caring about.
