IGN: Pop Review
Pop, a game that revolves around popping an endless assortment of colored bubbles, is such a basic title it’s hard to imagine that there’s actually a considerable amount of depth to this incredibly bare bones design. But even though there may be more to the game than just pointing and popping, it doesn’t really gel as something addictive and engrossing. It’s just a mild diversion with some neat elements and a sleek, simplistic style.
Pop is one of those "fun diversion if it’s the right price" kind of WiiWare games. There’s certainly enough here for a game, even if it’s really simplistic and overly repetitive, but you can’t be expected to pay a high amount for such a basic design. The game’s premiere 700 point price is pushing it just a bit, but it certainly may be worth a look if a couple hundred points somehow falls off in the next couple of months.
