Same Time Next Year: Are Annual Releases All That Bad?
The Assassin’s Creed series has been released annually since Assassin’s Creed II. While the general reaction of Revelations and ACIII was underwhelming, other releases in the franchise have been well-received, particularly the latest game in the series. Ubisoft thankfully take care to have different settings for each game and add new gameplay mechanics to spice up the action. While the core gameplay hasn’t vastly changed the emphasis on freedom and choice makes, this one of the stronger multi-platform series as of late.
