Shortly after revealing that Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day will be heading to the Americas, Namco Bandai Games have issued a large number of screenshots to announce that the fast-paced 2D action sidescroller will also be heading to Europe.
The Outerhaven was able to get an early hands on of Bandai-Namco's off the wall title,Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day and we loved it. But why did we like it so much? Check out the review and see for your self.
Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day is both weird and wonderful. The game itself is a lot of fun, but it obvious that this game is influenced by Suda 51 in some of the aspects as far as the weirdness factors to the gameplay, visuals and story.
When it comes to entertainment designed for mass consumption, no one pushes the envelope for weird as much as the Japanese. When it comes to animation, no one has embraced the medium for mass consumption as much as the Japanese. So it should come as no surprise that some of the most memorable and weird animated works come from Japan, and, of all the nations in the world, they’re the one that most frequently dips into less popular well of storytelling, the anthology.
This game looks weird, though animation is top-notch and quite appealing. Will probably give this a try after reviews emerge.
