"Don’t Starve is an isometric survival game that looks like Tim Burton was behind the reins. There isn’t much of a story here beyond what it gives you at the start, you play as Wilson the gentleman scientist (Other characters are unlocked by playing the game.) Wilson is tricked by an evil radio into making a portal to another world which he falls into. He wakes up in a strange and alien world where he is forced to survive and as the title suggests not starve to death, as death here is final there are no extra lives or continues as such."
