I got MGR on PC yesterday and so far it is pretty awesome, though it is not perfect and could use small gameplay improvements.

Yup, that's true. But you have to hand it, the game's really awesome indeed. Also, the game has that Kojima-feel to it, even without Kojima involved. Especially those easter eggs that involve the cardboard boxes... and Balut. Youtube that if you want to know more about the Balut. It's a Filipino delicacy. :-D

Beat it the other day and other than feeling really short compared to MGS it felt like a Kojima game. The final boss alone was like, yeah Kojima was involved with this. The writing, characters and cutscenes felt true to the franchise which is not surprising if the trailer I watched was correct about having the writer from MGS and of course Kojima as designer. Along with the fun Platinum manages to pull off in games, It was a great combo and I hope we see more MGR along side MGS. Poor Kojima though he made something he cant escape, lol

Actually, if I remember right, he cancelled MGR. At least, the first version of it, which was supposed to take place before MGS4 and after MGS2. He felt his version wasn't cut for it so he cancelled it. But somewhere along the way, Platinum Games convinced him they'd make it for him. So he gave a majority of the project to PG and he decided to let the young ones make it. Seems he was quite happy with it and yes, from what you said, seems he put in a little stuff to let fans know he wasn't done with the game.

Well good to know you finished it and liked it. Well, you still got the 2 DLC campaigns and VR missions to finish. Let us know when you get those done.
