GameSpy: Bangai-O Spirits Preview

GameSpy writes: "Developer Treasure is world-renowned for its skill in creating intensely challenging shooters and action games, the most famous of which is Ikaruga. But sandwiched between the more popular console generations, Treasure released another deviously difficult shooter on the N64 and Dreamcast called Bangai-O, which is reemerging on the Nintendo DS as Bangai-O Spirits. But the name isn't the only thing about Bangai-O Spirits that has been tweaked, because Treasure is quick to point out that the game is not a direct port. Even though it features many of the levels from the Dreamcast and N64 versions, there are a few new levels and a pretty impressive level editor combined with a "universal sharing system" that could change the way user-generated content is transferred on the DS."

Spiffy:
-Intense shooting challenge
-If it's too tough, you can edit it to make it easier
-Soundloading

Iffy:
-Soundloading experiences frequent transfer errors in noisy environments

I didn't like Bangai-O Spirits. its too "mission" based. I like Bangai-O on the N64. it has some sort of story on there, and it wasn't a "mission" based game. the levels had multiple sections with a boss. from what i played of the DS one, its one room most of the time, with bots to destory
