If Notch were to make a spinoff Minecraft game based on the works of Tim Burton, then it would become something like Don’t Starve. It’s the latest title of Klei Entertainment, who previously made Shank, Mark of the Ninja, and the Xbox 360 version of N+. The game has been out on PC for almost a year, and now it comes to the PS4, which is currently free for Playstation Plus subscribers. The story of this game is where a lone scientist named Wilson, who gets whisked away to a strange barren world with monsters. His aim is to explore this mysterious land and find a way to return back to his own “realm”, but numerous players would not notice the hidden tasks at hand, and instead try to survive for days on food and sleep. Like the ‘hardcore’ mode in Minecraft, the game will be deleted (or “vanished”) forever if the player dies.
