While not the first 3D game in the series (as Kirby 64 beat the title to the dimension jump), the game is the first in the series to offer a full 3D environment, where unlike the N64 game, players are free to explore their surroundings. The plain, detail-sparse environment only seems to be present in the City Trial mode, as many of the actual racing tracks feature some stunning environments. Take the Nebula Belt for example: while the map’s environment and track seem fairly plain, the visual aspect is rather stunning."
Should Nintendo finally stop kidding themselves and finally open up the kart race for anyone?
I guess it would be cool. They did add link in the past along with a Hyrule track. Could definitely help them with some new ideas but they can't ditch the name Mario kart.
Mario Kart has always reigned supreme when it comes to the best kart racers out there to play, but there are still a few other racers that are must-plays.
