I agree there is nothing wrong with short games when you like them. Perfect example was when the Call of Duty games were brought into the modern era. The first game was short but oh so sweet. It was an incredible game. Then they followed with short games that were for the most part complete crap that relied on multiplayer for any sort of lengthy play. The single player stories sucked. I don't like multiplayer because most players seem to treat each other badly. So I said buy to short Call of Duty single player games.
Contrast was a great little game. Great story. Great idea. Beautifilul setting... Also if you are an exterminator you have enough bugs to kill to last u a life time :-)
short games is great if the manage to capture and entice the player.
havent played contrast yet. but brothers was great, stanly parable was good and funny, and small games like FTL, Heartstone and Dota isnt bad either as they are great in small bits, who needs a story when there is great gameplay and fun for the player.
sadly something the COD devs cant seem to understand..... we dont need story, esp. when they are wasting aton of money into it when we really dont care. just saying.
short stories is great, or even no stories. just make the game interesting and enticing
its an ok game. the player movement really bugged me though. looked so unnatural.
