TeamXbox: Don King Presents: Prizefighter Preview

That’s where 2K Sports, developer Venom Games and the notorious boxing promoter will be taking you this June with the release of Don King Presents: Prizefighter. The gamemakers came to the TeamXbox offices recently to demo the work-in-progress for us-unfortunately, not joined on this visit by the high-haired King-and show us what we’ll get with this mix of interactive boxing and historical reminiscence.
The first thing to note before we delve into what makes up the game is that 2K turned to Venom for its experience with not only high-profile titles (it developed the Xbox 360 version of Prey), but also its history with boxing games (2004’s Rocky Legends for Xbox). And the partnership isn’t taking the easy way out, but breaking from what other boxing games have done before in making what they call a game with "a ’70s punk feel" in covering the era when King and boxing were at their peak."
