Webzen recently announced the closure of Archlord on 1st January 2014, which was the English global server in the company’s game portal. First launching in August of 2009, the lack of new features and regular updates once again proved a game’s downfall.
After the closure of the English global server, the Korean version for Archlord will be closing on 13th February as well. Developer Webzen claims the reason as “being unable to provide players with a stable environment”.
Webzen will be celebrating 3rd year anniversary of Archlord. Archlord was launched worldwide since October 2009, and it has been receiving increasing recognition from a vast number of MMORPG users for its various PvP contents and the recent introduction of the new expansion 'The Dark Revelation'.
WEBZEN has announced a new promotion that is very rare to see indeed. Have you ever wanted to play an MMO but didn't want to waste all that time grinding to the level cap and decking your new toon in gear just to see if the end game is any good? Well for a short time you don't have to!
Act of desperation? With the mmorpgs that are coming out this year Webzen better be prepare.
