Unity has shared a new tech demo that showcases what's possible in the latest version of the Unity 6 Engine, called Time Ghost.
Unity has announced that it's cancelling the controversial runtime fee, and going back to a seat-based subscription model for game developers.
I guess it bite them in the ass. Pretty sure it's still too late and those who were burned by it, will not come back.

They may just remain a company after all. They lost a lot of good faith with all this, however.
Jan 8 (Reuters) - Videogame software provider Unity Software (U.N) will target laying off approximately 25% of its workforce, or 1,800 jobs, the company said in a regulatory filing and internal company memo on Monday.
What a waste. And despite all of this cut and slash, their polices are doubling down on what led to all of this. They have committed themselves to bring a losing brand going forward. Good riddance. Maybe Microsoft will buy them out, they seem to have a lot in common.
