Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Review | The Game Effect
Execution is this game’s own worst enemy. It is a great idea in a fun setting with distinct character, but what holds it back is Stranger’s Wrath’s lack of fun. If you can put up with repetition in Borderlands, this will seem like a constantly shifting experience by comparison. It’s almost like id’s RAGE. All the pieces are there for it to work just the same, with a very promising developer at the helm. There are moments where the promise shows and pays off, and they are amazing, but this cowboy needs to head home. He’s not ready for the big leagues.
