PS4 pre-orders not good enough at GAME UK

Over the last number of weeks there have been many, MANY articles talking about the importance of pre-ordering, especially when it comes to big launches like a new console. This doesn't seem to apply to UK retailer GAME.

I actually like GAME, £436 for killzone mega bundle, cam, extra controller and bf4, bargain and they have never messed me around. People who moan about getting crap prices for trade in should just keep the game but guess what they still trade it in for £8. Even though they played a full retail price game twice. They wonder why they can't afford a new game, jeez stop throwing money away would be good start lol

It would be the last time I shopped there if I was a regular customer and pre ordered a ps4 and then they didn't have it. It woukdnt b the end of the world as I am sure I would have it soon...but I would start giving my business to someone else.

It sounds to me that Game took way more pre-orders than the number of consoles they were guaranteed by Sony. This is not Sony's fault but Game's.

What's so galling about this whole thing is that you can still buy a PS4 on their website so long as you get one of the expensive bundles. So they clearly still have stock of PS4. If they still have stock they should be getting rid of those bundles, teling folks they have sold out and fulfilling the preorders. Any time I go to game recently it has been a nightmare, taking ages to do something simple.

eg I preordered lego marvel for WiiU it took half an hour to figure out the barcode to give me my fiver back that I paid for the preorder, shopto getting used from now on.

Lol, maybe I'm becoming an old fart, but excessive violence in VR seems to bother me more than in flat games. Feels more visceral when you're looking a person in the eyes before mutilating them.

By no means am I trying to be a prude and saying these games shouldn't exist. I just play them more sparingly, need more breaks. I need some beautiful, refreshing & relaxing VR experiences too to balance them out so I don't feel so heavy.

Don't forget they've put a lot of these on gamepass and ps plus so you can add that money to it. Good to see Sega going strong

Happy for sega ! I was expecting some kind of showing of their newer games at game fest but maybe they’re keeling it for TGS? Crazy taxi and jet set needs a trailer or something soon !!!
